Oscars 2016: It's not too early to consider the next best picture race

The 2015 Oscars have ended but another year filled with unforgettable films has just begun again. Weeks before the Oscars were handed out, studios were already taking meetings with award consultants to discuss next year's big picture contenders. There are a multitude of films but which ones are going to get the lucky best picture nominee spots. These are going to be the films that we will be hearing about over and over and over again. This caught my eye because I love to films that are up to be graced upon with the highest honor in the land, a best picture oscar. There are already a variety of contenders. Some include "Demolition" with Jake Gyllenhaal, "Joy" with Jennifer Lawrence, "Money Monster" with George Clooney, and "Revenant" which is directed by 2015 best picture winner Alejandro G. Inarritu. "Revenant" is starring Leonardo DiCaprio; will this finally win him an Oscar? There is still a long way until Oscar season but time is catches up on filmmakers quickly and before we know it, Oscar season is right back around. A question I do have is if any of these films will get any Oscar nominee, let alone best picture?

  2. "Joy" is a guarantee. Why because David O. Russel is teaming up with Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence, and Robert De Niro. I definitely smell Oscars nods.
